On The Bench

She loved him. When she asked if he did too, he was defensive.

She was needy of his love, but he had conditions...

As they sat on a bench overlooking the river, he said she'd have to control her fertile imagination- no longer spend time writing.

If he loved her, he wouldn't have asked her to sacrifice writing- her love...

She had a choice to make- certainty or uncertainty?
Conditional proposal acceptance & be his wife, or be like a free river, exploring the boundaries of her creative-writing & an uncertain future as an author?

She let go of certainties...

  8. Taking the road less traveled means trapezing in and out of uncertainties over and over again. It requires loads and loads of courage, tears and sweat to make your dreams come true. Only rare people have the courage to do so and your protogonist is one among them.

      If she liked him more than her writing, she'd have sacrificed it for him.
      He has set a condition & wants her to follow his wish.
      If he liked her more than getting his wish fulfilled, he'd have supported what she wants.
      I feel there should be mutual understanding & compromise between two parties/partners.

      I believe- Sincere passion & hard-work will earn...if not today, someday in the future.
      Not everything can be measured in monetary terms...
