The Ted Talk

In a clubhouse, members were sharing their childhood memories.

Sara shared about her best friend- Ted.

Ted listened to Sara attentively, played whichever game she wanted, and threw no tantrums.

Actually, Ted could not speak.

Sara tried to get Ted to talk.

Ted had lost his voice.

Doctors had given up hope.

Sara persisted.

My Choice And Voice; Your Noise!

Always glad & grateful to voice & rejoice.

Someone's choice is someone's "noise".

I still indulge, share & revel in my joys!

Women, Violence And Silence

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers
It is said, 'Silence is golden'.
But, is it really?

Silence may be interpreted in a different way When You Say Nothing At All...

I feel- 'Silence Feeds The Violence'.
Violence is not right. Lord Krishna has said in the Gita that those who suffer injustice are greater culprits than those who commit injustice.

When something terrible is happening, why are people silent-onlookers, rather than protesting?

I have shared this in my poem- 'India Needs Bravehearts'.

For example, if a man is slapping/beating a woman in public, people would rather 'watch the fun',  click photos or take videos, rather than raise their voice or come to the rescue of the damsel-in-distress.

Voice Of Silence

Reason and interpretation of silence can vary,
The weight of silence can be tough to carry.

The voice of silence has a charm of its own.
Makes sense to explore its town and tone.

In The Waiting Room

The Little Mermaid, Ariel had fallen in love with the Prince at first glance.

She badly wanted legs and had contacted Ursula, the Sea Witch.

Ursula's condition was that she would grant Ariel legs in exchange of her voice.
Ursula asked Ariel to wait while she went to fetch the required magic-herbs and potions.
