E&O Residences, Kuala Lumpur

I visited Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to participate in the 14th Global Indian Festival recently and stayed at E&O Residences for the first two nights of my stay at KUL.

For the initial part of my trip, I wanted to stay near the Petronas Twin Towers and explore the city. I had researched a few KUL hotels including E&O Residences on Expedia. I started looking forward to my trip seeing the fabulous guest ratings.

E&O Residences is a landmark property located at No.1, Jalan Tengah, off Jalan Sultan Ismail, in a prime and prestigious neighbourhood in the Golden Triangle.

The check-in time starts at 3 PM. I had informed the hotel that I would require an early check-in. The 56 kms drive from the KUL airport to the hotel took me about one hour.
My taxi-driver, Abdul Wahab, informed me that the time can vary depending on the traffic.

When I reached the hotel at 5 AM, I was delighted with my smooth check-in at a super room on the 26th floor at the E&O Residences.

With more than 190 elegant suites, E&O Residences offers a comfortable stay in a well-planned space. Each room is fully equipped with necessary amenities, and is perfect for travelers and long-staying guests. Space, style and great furnishing combine to create a comfortable ideal suite for travelers, travelling whether for business or pleasure or both.

I stayed in a 1131 square feet one-bedroom suite. The moment one enters the room, one gets awed by the well-furnished living area.

I had just got acquainted with the space in the room when I was introduced to the spectacular KUL skyline greeting me across the wraparound glass walls... I was excited to set my eyes on the Petronas Twin Towers for the first time!

To start the official work, one can settle down in the dining-table in the living room or sit down at the work desk awaiting in the bedroom. But, first, time for a short nap after the journey...

The morning view was great outside the window!

The view inside my suite was super too!

I loved the neat, well-planned wardrobe with chest of drawers, electronic safe, bath-robe, hangers etc. that make the best use of the available space. As I was travelling to KUL for an exhibition, I had a lot of luggage. My suite had enough enclosed space to store all my luggage!

In the wardrobe, I found a handy torch that was ready-to-use!
No need to turn it on! It automatically switches on when removed from its stand.

E&O Residences boasts of a long impressive list of facilities and amenities for its guests. This includes free Wifi internet connectivity, air conditioning which is a life saver in KUL’s heat, cable TV, washing-machine, well-equipped kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, juicer and coffee making facilities within the room.

I loved the spacious and well-stocked bathroom.

After freshening up, it was time to go to the ground floor to avail myself of the complimentary breakfast served in a cafe aptly named Delicious!

I loved the delectable buffet fare with local Malaysian dishes as well as Continental foods.

Later, I realized that Delicious Cafe is famous in Kuala Lumpur and has many outlets in KUL offering a cosy and quality dining experience. I had a delicious food experience! I especially liked to try the local fare like Nasi Lemak and a hot soup with a varied choice of condiments.

Next it was time to explore the city.

E&O Residences is within walking distance to many restaurants and mega malls as well as Kuala Lumpur's commercial, shopping, and entertainment hubs. This includes KUL icons like Suria KLCC Mall, The Petronas Twin Towers, Aquaria KLCC, KL Tower, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve and the famous food street, Jalan Alor. Tons of shopping in this area too. Check out Lot 10 Shopping Centre, Pavillion Mall, Bukit Bintang and Fahrenheit 88 Shopping Mall. All within a kilometre of the hotel!

I was delighted to find my Kuala Lumpur hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to ferry the guests to selected destinations.

You’ll find it’s also easy to hop on the public transport. The Raja Chulan Monorail station is the nearest. Free city buses are available from the Suria KLCC and the Pavilion mall.

E&O residences has spacious treatment rooms, Gym and Exercise room, Meditation and Yoga room, and a saltwater swimming pool.

There’s a spa that offers treatments and packages for wellness needs- massages, massage enhancements, body renewal, enrichments, infrared sauna, facials, anti-ageing facials.
I liked the landscaped garden courtyard and the children’s playground with special flooring where the children won't get hurt, if they fall..

I found serenity, greenery and space despite the urban location.

If you are staying at E&O Residences, KUL:

Consider your travel group size when booking - The 1131 sq ft one bedroom suite (where I stayed) is great for 3 guests. However, breakfast is complimentary only for 2 guests and there may be additional charges of MYR 140 towards bedding and MYR 30 for breakfast for an extra guest, depending on the age.
If one is travelling with family or in a group of 4-5 members, then one can book a 1442 sq ft two bedroom suite with an open living area, kitchenette, powder room and private study and well-furnished with king-sized beds, wardrobes and bathrooms.

Opt for a room with the view of the Petronas Twin Towers- While checking-in, I suggest requesting for a room with the view of the Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur. The friendly staff will take care provided there’s availability.

Do explore the hotel premises- It’s worth it! The smart use of space is noteworthy. There’s lots to keep you entertained. I particularly loved to meet all the security guards and clicked a photo with them!

Carry room-key/card- The room card is required to take the lift up to your room. In case you forget yours, the hotel staff is more than happy to help.

Enjoy the complimentary services- Make the most of the sumptuous buffet breakfast, free pick-up and drop shuttle-services to the nearby malls. Plus, if you’re tired from all that exploring Kuala Lumpur, you can even get a free neck and shoulder massage!

I even got an invitation to attend a cool cocktail party hosted by the hotel in its premises!

Thanks to all the staff of E&O Residences and the Director, Mr.Donny Ewe, for making me feel at home!

I was impressed with the stylish and luxurious suite with useful facilities for a comfortable stay. In my last evening, that I had scheduled to see the musical fountain at KLCC, I found it tough to leave my suite! I settled down in the dining table and gazed at the lights emanating from the tall skyscrapers, especially the Twin Towers, across the clear wraparound glass walls and had a home-prepared dinner.

loved my stay at E&O Residences. First, I thought it's a regular residential complex for business travellers, but I really enjoyed my comfortable stay so much that it was tough to leave...

I had a reservation in another hotel for the next few days of my stay at KUL. As I didn’t have the heart to check out from E&O Residences, I even tried to extend my stay! However, all the one-bedroom suites were sold out on Expedia. I contacted the Hotel reception hoping that they would have at least 1 one bedroom suite out of their 104 units, but in vain.
All the rooms were booked!

I checked out with fond memories.

I loved the awesome view, facilities, fantastic location, comfort, space and sophisticated facilities that E&O Residences, Kuala Lumpur offers. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The charge varies depending on the selected room (1 BR/2BR) and also the season. A 1 BR can cost from 7-19K per night. Booking via Expedia gives competitive rates.

Hope you get to visit KL soon :)
