E&O Residences, Kuala Lumpur

I visited Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to participate in the 14th Global Indian Festival recently and stayed at E&O Residences for the first two nights of my stay at KUL.

For the initial part of my trip, I wanted to stay near the Petronas Twin Towers and explore the city. I had researched a few KUL hotels including E&O Residences on Expedia. I started looking forward to my trip seeing the fabulous guest ratings.

E&O Residences is a landmark property located at No.1, Jalan Tengah, off Jalan Sultan Ismail, in a prime and prestigious neighbourhood in the Golden Triangle.

The check-in time starts at 3 PM. I had informed the hotel that I would require an early check-in. The 56 kms drive from the KUL airport to the hotel took me about one hour.

The Travel-Wizard

I was as usual doing my chore,
There was a surprise in store!

Smoky room, ceiling & floor!
Locked were all windows & door!

A Wizard appeared, no folklore!
I rubbed my eyes, there was no eye-sore!

He said, "I'm the Travel-Wizard- Skyscanner."
"I know you love trips as you are @anitaexplorer!"

Malaysia In My Kismet

Hinduism believes in the concept of Karma (action, fate or deed) & also Kismet (destiny or fate).

Needless to say, we need to have a good past & present Karma & a great connection with Kismet!

There is even a Bollywood movie named 'Kismat Konnection' that stresses on Kismet to unite the hero & heroine!

Malaysia On My Mind!

The explorer in me has always wanted to visit Malaysia ever since I was in school.
For me, Malaysia is like India - a Kaleidoscope of cultures, races and religions where many languages are spoken.
Also, like India, Malaysia upholds 'Unity in Diversity'.

KUALA LUMPUR CALLING!

I would love to visit Kuala Lumpur as it is a dream destination!

I first learnt about Kuala Lumpur in School! As a good Quizzer, I knew all the countries and their Capitals! (I still do!) Malaysia's Capital - Kuala Lumpur being no exception!

Later, I saw Kuala Lumpur in the Travel Shows on Television and of course in our Hindi movies. Many Hindi movies have been shot in Kuala Lumpur!

Being an ardent Travel & Movies fan, I never miss the scenic locales in Hindi movies!

Let me test your memory/knowledge.
Quiz Question- Name at least one Hindi movie that's shot in Kuala Lumpur.

Any Idea?

Any Clue?

Looks like you were busy staring at the Hero or Heroine to notice the city!

Anyway, sharing trivia with you!

Top-of-Mind Recall Answers:
Don- The Chase Begins Again
Don-2
One Two Ka Four
Rowdy Rathore

Ah! Now you remember!

In fact, in Don-2 Shah Rukh Khan is even in a Prison in Kuala Lumpur!
Once, on TV, I watched in awe, the construction of the popular ‘Megastructure’ – The Petronas Twin Towers. The challenge was building the connecting bridge between the two towers with high wind-speeds and other technical issues. Luckily, the engineering brilliance of the architects came up with smart solutions to make the construction a reality!

It is Malaysia’s most famous attraction! Needless to say I want to take many pictures of and with the Petronas Twin Towers!

Apart from the Petronas Twin Towers, some more reasons why Kuala Lumpur is my selection:

Dad’s Wish- Kuala Lumpur features on the top of my Dad’s must-visit place-list! He is very keen and we have been planning to go there! But, plans are yet to be worked out! Action time now!

Location- Kuala Lumpur is situated near India’s East where we reside!

Package-Deals & Special Offers- Affordable deals and offers are readily available to suit the interests of every traveler!

Sights & Attractions- Kuala Lumpur presents both the old & the new. There are landmarks like the King’s Palace, National Monument, National Museum, National Mosque, Sultan Abdul Samad Building etc.

Genting Highlands- This hill resort is popular. My family and especially my kid will enjoy the rides at the Indoor and Outdoor Theme Park. I will get a feel of the Casino de Genting too!

Legoland- My kid will love a visit and so will I!

Food- Kuala Lumpur offers a large variety of dishes! I can be spoilt for choice!

Shopping- Kuala Lumpur is great for Shopping. It suits the wallets of all travelers! There are amazing ‘Sales’ and discount offers!

Kuala Lumpur’s sights, tastes and smells are tempting me with "sumptuous and delectable food, gorgeous temples, unbelievable shopping, relaxing spas and much much more."
Would so love to visit Kuala Lumpur!

Fully-Sponsored Trip-Contests/Info most welcome!!!
