The latest art exhibition in town featured a famous artist whose name was familiar to Maria.
He had been her classmate in junior school!
Then, he was transferred elsewhere.
Later, Maria found him featured in the media.
She started following his work.
She always felt proud of his achievements.

Sita was excited when the National Sculpture Competition was announced.
For the past year, she had been devotedly working on an idol of God though
some remarked- "You being a female, how and why are you in this man’s
trade?”
People mocked and questioned her- “How can you even dream of your art
getting selected or expect winning?"

She was visiting the fair when
she saw some paintings.
The biggest one was a
true-to-life painting of a beautiful girl.
Despite wearing sunglasses, she
instantly identified that girl in the portrait.
She knew the artist too.

He was busy with his works and customers.
It was a normal date.
This was their third meeting.
He had invited her home for a
meal.
They had met at a café earlier.
This time was special.
He showed her his art- both
paintings and cooking!
The man could paint and cook!
She liked him.

It did not take long.
She had made several rounds of the departmental stores during the lockdown.
Her frequent visits did not ensure availability of what she wanted.
The products were always out of stock.
Along with other pandemic essentials, everyone seemed to be obsessed with toilet-paper rolls & tissue-paper!
