Latte Lesson

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

There were five vacancies for a research-project, but fifteen aspirants.
All had gathered at their professor's residence.
The professor asked them to have latte.
Each student was to serve latte for self.

The students sipped in silence awaiting the list of the chosen five.

As the professor read out the five names, the ten not-selected students looked disappointed.

"I like all you learned fellows. As there are only five posts, I had to devise this test...
The cup you chose - whether ceramic or Styrofoam/plastic played a deciding-factor for selection for this "Environment" project."

The students had learned their lesson.

  6. In your attempt to mix prompts, there feels a disjointing. There are missing words to make your sentences complete and give it flow.
The premise of the story is a good one though.
