JUBILEE POST FOR MY DOST!

Sunakshi, a dear Twitter friend of mine & a cool Blogger, had made a gracious offer one fine day 2-3 months ago to me.

I nearly jumped off my seat when I saw her requesting me to write a ‘Guest Post’ for her sparkling Blog- Pearl In Darkness! 

Wow! What importance! It’s an honor for any Blogger! 

She had faith in my talent from the few Posts I had for credit till then! 

That time I expressed my delight and also my inability as I was (I still am!) finding things challenging because of TIME! 

I always find myself making sacrifices to invest the little time I have, to write Posts for my own Blog as I am juggling many roles- being a PhD Scholar & travelling between cities to my University, full-time Mom, home-manager…etc. 

My lifestyle doesn’t leave me much time for myself or my Blog & how can I commit time to write a ‘Guest Post’?!

I cannot forget Sunakshi’s reaction, “No worries, take your own time! Whenever you are ready, just let me know… My Blog will be waiting…”

That was many days ago! 

Yesterday I thankfully noticed it would be my 75^th Post!

I got in touch right away with Sunakshi, my Dost!

Many milestones come & go, while we are not even aware!

I realized 5 days ago, I now have 20,000 tweets in Twitter & today morning that my Blog has clocked 20,000 Page-Views! Yippee!!!

Now I feel it has to be special! What’s life without happiness & celebrations? 

I found it best to celebrate it with a long pending request!

75^th Post means Diamond or Platinum Jubilee for my Blog!

As per the Wikipedia:

-  Diamond Jubilee, a celebration of a 60th or 75th anniversary

-  Platinum Jubilee, a celebration of a 70th or 75th anniversary

I would love to visit Kuala Lumpur as it is a dream destination!

I first learnt about Kuala Lumpur in School! As a good Quizzer, I knew all the countries and their Capitals! (I still do!) Malaysia's Capital - Kuala Lumpur being no exception!

Later, I saw Kuala Lumpur in the Travel Shows on Television and of course in our Hindi movies. Many Hindi movies have been shot in Kuala Lumpur! 

Being an ardent Travel & Movies fan, I never miss the scenic locales in Hindi movies!

In fact, in Don-2 Shah Rukh Khan is even in a Prison in Kuala Lumpur!

Once, on TV, I watched in awe, the construction of the popular ‘Megastructure’ – The Petronas Twin Towers. The challenge was building the connecting bridge between the two towers with high wind-speeds and other technical issues. Luckily, the engineering brilliance of the architects came up with smart solutions to make the construction a reality!

It is Malaysia’s most famous attraction! Needless to say I want to take many pictures of and with the Petronas Twin Towers!

Apart from the Petronas Twin Towers, some more reasons why Kuala Lumpur is my selection:

Dad’s Wish- Kuala Lumpur features on the top of my Dad’s must-visit place-list! He is very keen and we have been planning to go there! But, plans are yet to be worked out! Action time now!

Location- Kuala Lumpur is situated near India’s East where we reside!

Package-Deals & Special Offers- Affordable deals and offers are readily available to suit the interests of every traveler!

Sights & Attractions- Kuala Lumpur presents both the old & the new. There are landmarks like the King’s Palace, National Monument, National Museum, National Mosque, Sultan Abdul Samad Building etc. 

Genting Highlands- This hill resort is popular. My family and especially my kid will enjoy the rides at the Indoor and Outdoor Theme Park. I will get a feel of the Casino de Genting too!

Legoland- My kid will love a visit and so will I!

Food- Kuala Lumpur offers a large variety of dishes! I can be spoilt for choice!

Shopping- Kuala Lumpur is great for Shopping. It suits the wallets of all travelers! There are amazing ‘Sales’ and discount offers!

Kuala Lumpur’s sights, tastes and smells are tempting me with "sumptuous and delectable food, gorgeous temples, unbelievable shopping, relaxing spas and much much more."

Would so love to visit Kuala Lumpur!
