The Smartphone Affair

As a westerner, it was her first holiday to a middle-eastern nation.

It was like what she had imagined.

She remembered- 'Aladin and the Magic Lamp'.

Fascinated, she was busy clicking photographs using her smartphone.

Just then, a monkey snatched her phone.

"S-T-O-P! Give my phone, Abu!"

Abu was Aladin's pet monkey's name!

The monkey stopped.

A young man started conversing with the monkey in Persian.

The monkey handed him her smartphone!

The Holiday

She was taking a vacation after almost a year after the death of her partner. 

She had no clue why she had chosen that place for a holiday.

The solo-traveller started feeling secure the moment she landed at Down Island. 

A souvenir store near her hotel caught her fancy.

She wanted to visit, but it was closed.

On the day of her return, she was thrilled to see the shop was open.

HOLIDAY- Movie Review

Director A.R.Murugadoss's movie- "Holiday: A Soldier is never off duty" is 170 minutes long. It has Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Sumeet Raghavan and newcomer Farhad in key roles. Govinda has a cameo appearance. Holiday is the second Bollywood offering by the Director. It has his first Bollywood film- Ghajini's hangover/glimpses in certain scenes - viz. display of maps, pics and info on the walls. I felt Holiday is a bit too long and needed better editing.
