Just Out Of My Comfort Zone

Secure inside a conditioned room,
Little did I know that it was a womb!
Though I was used to it for months nine,
I had to jump on the bandwagon & see sunshine!
Totally blissful in the world of my own,
Then was thrown out of my comfort zone...

I was scribbling on the wall,
I was playing with my doll.
Serving food & drinks imaginary,
Building skyscrapers, in no hurry...
Totally blissful in the world of my own,
Then was thrown out of my comfort zone...

What I Didn't Do This Weekend

This weekend too began with a bang 💥 as usual;
I thought 💭 of accomplishing the tasks in my list.
To-Do in my Notes 📝 that are yet to be done ✅
And lots more to be done as I have wished...

There's a Handloom Expo that I have in my plan;
A visit to our supplier's office; updating personal sheet;
Clearing the newspaper & magazine pile in my room;
Raahgiri; Heritage walk; savoring my city's treat...

Watching a movie 🎥 in the cinema-hall;
Picking the exact shade of extra cloth for my dress 👗;
Writing some long-pending blog posts about events;
Yearned to do all this, but have settled for less...

How the weekend came & just zoomed away!
Me with some unfulfilled dreams in store...
Having written a poem about what I didn't do,
The silver lining is that my Blog has a post one more!

Women, Relationships And Hindi Movies

In the Hindi movies, Dear Zindagi & Queen, the female protagonists bid bye to relationships that they do not feel comfortable with. It may be noted that in the said movies, both the female leads- Kaira (played by Alia Bhatt) and Rani (played by Kangana Ranaut), are 'single' and can afford to take such a decision to end their relationship.

It seems it's the time for self-gratification and love for life. Saying 'Hi' to laughter and 'Bye'to tension is absolutely fine and permissible.

Thus, there are Hindi movie songs celebrating "Breakup"!

"Mere Saiyanji se aaj maine breakup kar diya!" (I broke up with my beau!)- Aye Dil Hai Mushkil

Seems like apart from the singletons, a breakup isn't too mushkil (tough) for the married females too viz. in the Hindi movie Aye Dil Hai Mushkil, both the female leads Alizeh and Saba (played by Anushka Sharma & Aishwarya Rai respectively) leave their husbands' homes to live independently in their dream home.

Even in Bollywood movies like Barfii, Chalte Chalte, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Arth etc the unhappy wives have walked out of unfulfilling relationships. Perhaps they found no arth (meaning) in a meaningless and loveless marriage...

Voices In My Head

I could hear voices that were urgent.
I tried to figure out what they meant...
About their origin, I wasn't sure.
I wondered why was I chosen here.

I was in a dilemma about what to do.
About their credibility I had no clue.
Should I pay attention to those voices?
Or should I go ahead with my choices?
