The Young Scientist

"Just because you won the 'Young Scientist' award, doesn't mean that we will believe your crap!"
Twelve-years old Ashok heard this from his classmates.

While his friends played games, he was lost in his science projects.
He was explaining about powering up satellites. They asked him to "act his age".

Ashok was coming to terms of having lost his science teacher some days ago.
His teacher had always encouraged him.
Ashok won the prestigious award.

He remembered his teacher's words-
"They may not believe and may laugh at you; but be strong and carry on to make your dreams come true."

How do you feel when people laugh at you? Do you think dreamers have the last laugh?

  3. Lovely story - and so true of scientists through the ages that weren't believed when they came up with new theories.

  5. When dreaming is coupled with very hard work over many years, yes, your dreams may come true. Science is a particularly difficult field in which to make your dreams come true, and luck also plays a part. Many scientists have to take comfort that in obtaining negative results they are eliminating possibilities and paving the way for others to make the breakthrough.
