Sanitation means the facilities and
services enabling the safe collection & disposal of wastes- sewage,
garbage, wastewater etc.
Hygiene means conditions & practices
necessary to maintain health and prevent diseases through cleanliness. Aristotle
used the Greek adjective of hygiene as a noun to imply “health”.
Sanitation maintains the hygienic conditions.
