“Digital Arrest” has become pretty common these days.
Government of India has been trying to make all aware that there is nothing called - Digital Arrest.
It is simply a money-minting tactics of scammers.
We need not entertain them and allow them to extort our hard-earned money.
Despite so many advertisements in news media and also television and social media, it is surprising how so many educated people too fall into the traps of scammers.
Shocking to note that amongst the victims there are business people, doctors, and even a Vice Chancellor of a University!
I am sharing the following message that I had received via WhatsApp from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI)-
I must thank the RBI and all who are engaging in such outreach initiatives to inform and create awareness.
