Trust Me - To Be Honest

I was watching a video in which the interviewer was taking life-lessons from the elderly.

One of the senior gentlemen stated- "Never trust anyone who says - 'Trust Me'!"

Today, I came across "tbh" in a chat conversation.

I am sure many of us may be aware of what that means.

In fact, I myself could not recollect what it means and had to look it up on Google, and got reminded that it means "to be honest"!

My parents always stress on honesty, and the need to be honest and uphold the spirit of truth, righteousness, and justice every time.

I can vouch that being honest in today's world does extract its pound of flesh. One has to pay the price for honesty.

Why do some people love to make use of tbh or the three words that claim that they are being honest?

Does it mean that they are lying when they do not use these words for support?

Are those, who are their natural honest selves and show indifference to grabbing such words for support, considered dishonest?

Would you believe me, if during spring, I tell you that it is winter?

Yet, some are so adept at doing so that you trust them when they say - "Trust Me"!

You throw reason to the wind and accept their every word like a gift from heaven!

What you receive in turn is anyone's guess!

Did you know the meaning of "tbh" earlier?

Do you use "trust me" and "to be honest" or "tbh" in your conversations? If yes, how often? Please share in the comments below-
