How To Recover Deleted Photos From Android Phone?

Last month, I discovered to my shock and dismay that all the photographs and videos in the 'Gallery' & 'Camera-roll' on my Android Phone were missing. But, the other folders like Screenshots etc. were intact.

I was back from a trip where I had clicked many pics and captured several videos. My phone's memory was almost full. I started getting warning messages. Then, one fine day, they had all disappeared...

I have two mobile phones and as the memory of one phone was already full, I had used this Android phone to save photos especially of the last half of my trip. I felt terrible to find those pictures along with pics taken in the last few months were missing. Perhaps, it is a way in which the Android phone unburdens itself and automatically frees memory by simply deleting the 'Gallery' data?

I was midway in my second April #AToZChallenge #BlogchatterA2Z in which I was writing A to Z posts about Odisha, India- including the travel places I had visited. 
My mind was heavy as I had documented my trip by clicking pictures of sign-boards and information-boards. Now, how would I write my posts? 

'Pictures speak more than a thousand words'. 

 "Those pics are important. I have to retrieve them." I requested myself to go for Mission Photos Recovery.

I contacted the phone's registered service-centre. They refused saying that they can only update the phone's software that would erase my existing data. 

I checked with the other phone-service stores. The moment they heard that pics were lost from the 'Gallery' i.e. the internal phone memory, they shook their head and expressed their inability. Had the data been lost/deleted from external storage like SD card, they could have attempted to be saviour.

How to restore/recover/retrieve deleted pictures? 

I started searching online for help.

Responsibility means many things to many people.
What is responsibility for me, may not be for you.

There is no doubt that we all have responsibilities.
We all have social responsibilities too.
As Bloggers, this is more pronounced as we have a say and a reach.

Blogging and responsibility are connected.
When we are Blogging, we are in a position for making a choice to blog.
In a way, Blogging is at the cost of something else...
In my case, I have sacrificed, ignored or postponed other responsibilities just so that I can blog!

Blogging is a responsible activity.
Bloggers do have responsibilities.

As per my views, the following are some of the responsibilities of Bloggers:

1. Correct Info- Bloggers need to share correct facts, data etc. in their Blog. They need to cross-check and verify the information before posting.
In case they have shared any misleading or incorrect statements, info or comments, on being informed, they should update their blog.

2. Due Credit to Sources- Bloggers must accord proper credit to the sources. Pics, quotes, research data etc must be ably supported with links to the original idea-proponents.

I privately tried to reason it out with her that I never copy. 

She didn’t believe me & continued her allegations that affected my credibility.

How To Create Menu Tabs In Blogger Blog

Three months ago, I was delighted to receive the following comment from a Blogger-friend:

"I am fascinated with your blog design. I want to do something with categorizing my blog posts and have them in a menu like you have on top of your blog. Do you have tutorial on how you set up categories? I am really interested in streamlining my blogging. Any tips you can give will be appreciated."- Mary Hill

I had shared the info with Mary via email.
Today when I received a similar query from another Blogger-friend, who wants to display the following Tabs on her Blog just like my Blog:

I decided it to share the "How To" info via my Blog :)


1. First, we need to add the required Labels in all the posts published in our Blog.
For example, if our post is about Travel, then we need to add Travel as a Label by editing our post.
Similarly for the other posts related to Movies, Fiction, Poetry etc.

Life Before & With IndiBlogger

I signed up for my Blog & joined Blogging in August 2012.

I joined IndiBlogger and other Blogging sites like BlogAdda 11 months ago in July 2013.

Then:
My Blog had less than 10 Posts, less than 10 Followers, less than 10 Comments & less than 1000 Page-Views.

Now:
Just yesterday it has clocked 1,00,000 Page-Views!

However, I found that it wasn't customized as per my Blog & my credentials.

There are quite a number of Blogs that I love. I faced a dilemma about which ones to feature as my choice of nominations for the first Liebster Award I received a few months ago. Making a decision proved to be super tough! 

When Write Tribe gave Blog Love as the topic, it was time to feel helpless yet again!

Milestones- A Century, Not Out!

Busy with life we go with the flow,

Missing things we should know!

While running my marathons in life, I missed two milestones recently.

Yesterday, I realized, albeit late, after submitting my Post on IndiBlogger that I had submitted my 100^th Post for IndiVine!

Last month, I had missed the occasion to SEE MORE while posting the 100^th Post for my Blog. I was so engrossed that I never even realized when I had composed & published the 100th Post for my Blog & even after posting a couple of Posts after that!… 

I had always planned to celebrate the special event of a Century of Posts by Blogging & conveying my heartfelt thanks to all! 

I missed the chance to acknowledge my Century a la Sachin Tendulkar... 

Two months ago, my Blog had graced its 75^th Post. 

Luckily, I happened to be aware and shared the occasion through my Diamond & Platinum Jubilee Post. 

It built up expectations about a bigger celebration for 100 Posts on my Blog. As I got busy, I missed the special occasion last month… 

As of today, I have 121 Published Posts in my Blog.

After realizing that I had submitted my 100^th Post for IndiVine at IndiBlogger yesterday, I felt that I had missed an opportunity to dedicate a Post solely to ‘Milestones’ like this.

Then, I thought – “Why regret? What I missed yesterday, I can make it a reality today!” 

Here’s my 101^st Post for Indivine!

In our culture, 101 is a Shagun or good amount to gift!

I contacted IndiBlogger & suggested that they should give us badges when we reach special milestones like Century (100 Posts), 200 Posts, 300 Posts…

Lovely to find that my Blog has reached a new milestone today 40,000 page-views!

ALL IS WELL as I express my sincere gratitude to everyone especially to Blogging Sites like IndiBlogger & BlogAdda, my Blog’s readers…looong list of people...
