Covid-era has come with its fair share of technology dependence.
Whether it is using Zoom or Google Meet for online meetings, or sharing social media posts and videos on the multiple platforms like Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc, content-creators need to take care of some tips.
Many have become pro; however, there are some who need to be guided about the basics.
While we are all learning, additional points and takeways from experts can help.
Two months ago, it was great to receive these helpful tips via email from Team Animoto.
No one wants to be stuck in traffic-jam, lift, crowd etc…
Getting “stuck on the runway” is not what any of us would prefer.
Yet, this is what has happened yesterday as many flights got grounded and many got cancelled.
Reason?
Due to a computer outage.

As I type my answers to the above questions, I am fully conscious that I am terribly lagging behind.
I am yet to share images and posts of the past several years!
While today (19 November 2020) I had attended two webinars including one with a central minister, I am yet to share the photograph and learnings. Today is just like yesterday and the day before as I am yet to share about the events that had happened and which I have documented intending to share!
If we don't invest the time & care to share, how will people be aware?
In today’s tech world, smartphones and gadgets play a major role and are extensively used.
However, these power-hungry devices consume electrical energy and their batteries need to be charged. Smartphone-batteries use more power when all the advanced features like GPS, Wi-Fi etc are turned on. By turning off these features and using the Power-Saving Mode, best usage of smartphone is not possible. Solution of a 'charger that automatically disconnects itself' can be available in future phones. I often wish the batteries of gadgets were intelligent enough to ensure wireless charging from a variety of available power-sources viz. solar energy, wind energy etc. I do believe that this will be a distant reality with inductive/solar charging for gadgets (in which the gadgets get their required charge from surrounding power-sources). Phone-chargers will then not be needed!
I love clicking photographs.
I feel I am capturing memories.
However, I rarely use or share such photographs. They largely remain confined to my digital device's memory and are housed in privacy.
I have used a few for posting to my blog, but the vast majority remain stored and scarcely get a double look, thereby defeating the purpose why they were clicked.
You may wonder- why don't I post my photographs online?
Like everyone else, even I can upload to photo-sharing social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or to the available online photo-albums, right?
The reality is - my profile photo has been the same over the years across Twitter, FB, Blog etc!
How private can one be in this age of social media when someone or the other is tagging you?!
Who or what is stopping me from sharing pics and tagging others?
Over the past few months, I have been considering some reasons why we must save our photos in online albums:
Last month, I discovered to my shock and dismay that all the photographs and videos in the 'Gallery' & 'Camera-roll' on my Android Phone were missing. But, the other folders like Screenshots etc. were intact.
I was back from a trip where I had clicked many pics and captured several videos. My phone's memory was almost full. I started getting warning messages. Then, one fine day, they had all disappeared...
I have two mobile phones and as the memory of one phone was already full, I had used this Android phone to save photos especially of the last half of my trip. I felt terrible to find those pictures along with pics taken in the last few months were missing. Perhaps, it is a way in which the Android phone unburdens itself and automatically frees memory by simply deleting the 'Gallery' data?
I was midway in my second April #AToZChallenge #BlogchatterA2Z in which I was writing A to Z posts about Odisha, India- including the travel places I had visited. My mind was heavy as I had documented my trip by clicking pictures of sign-boards and information-boards. Now, how would I write my posts?
'Pictures speak more than a thousand words'.
"Those pics are important. I have to retrieve them." I requested myself to go for Mission Photos Recovery.
I contacted the phone's registered service-centre. They refused saying that they can only update the phone's software that would erase my existing data.
I checked with the other phone-service stores. The moment they heard that pics were lost from the 'Gallery' i.e. theinternal phone memory, they shook their head and expressed their inability. Had the data been lost/deleted from external storage like SD card, they could have attempted to be saviour.

Mr. Sen is my next door neighbour. He has a blue-coloured “small car”
that he wishes to change.
I know so many details about his
car! You must be wondering- how do I know? Well, each time we meet in our
building's premises, Mr.Sen never fails to mention about
his “small car”. Over the years, I
have learnt the history about Mr. Sen's car- when he bought it, how he
bought it, why he bought it...
Mr.Sen had bought a second-hand car,
the first car of his life, a decade ago so that he and his daughter, MunMun, who
was in college then, could learn how to drive together. The plan was that both
of them would learn driving using a second-hand “small car” and then once they
were confident drivers, he would upgrade his car. I had been hearing this story
ever since I shifted to our apartment-complex. Being a software professional,
I travel often and my car, parked under the cover,

I had tried selling my Dad’s
phone online. I placed the ads and shared my phone number. I received many
phone-calls from prospective buyers. That’s when I realized the hassles
associated. Selling appeared like a Herculean task as people wanted to know so
many details! Let me tell you that as I pay much attention to details, I made special effort to first explain in the ad & then explain again in detail over the phone! Many kept on calling and demanded details though I had provided all
the info about the phone in the ad! So much info was not enough for them!

1. First, we need to add the required Labels in all the posts published in our Blog.
For example, if our post is about Travel, then we need to add Travel as a Label by editing our post.
Similarly for the other posts related to Movies, Fiction, Poetry etc.
I had started my Blog two years ago without much info about Blogging.
Before Blogging, I had got many articles, stories, poems etc published in the leading magazines and newspapers.
I am aware of the kind of situation one has to go through to ensure that a written-work gets published!
But, in Blogging, one just has to express one's thoughts by typing them out & then hit Publish!

As I shared in the first sentence of this post, I had no clue about the finer-details about Blogging (even now I don't know much & am still learning, but at least I know a bit more than I knew 2 years ago!)!

Phones have gotten so much smarter from the once bulky devices they used to be! Smartphones today rule. There's always a newer and better sophisticated variety being launched!
The other day, I read a report in the newspaper that stated startling facts and statistics about mobile-phones being stolen. There are organized rackets in the cities, with smart thieves working overtime to pocket our objects of affection.
Yes, I can call my mobile phone just that- object of affection!
