The Selfish Helper

She had to face challenges to fulfill self wish.

They had a problem & labelled her- SELFISH.

All she had done was to take some personal time-

They branded her a thief, heaping her with grime.

When she "used" her own time to do tasks for them,

All was well when she sported their "helper" emblem!

There was no issue when her time was spent this way.

But, selfish when she decided her time to have a say!

Need To CTRL Save And Nurture Nature

"There are no short-cuts or elevators to success; one has to take the stairs."

 There are no short-cuts to save nature and our environment; we have to take care.

The cost of an industrialized & globalized world is huge; paying a heavy price.

Leaving a less perfect world for our children is so unfair and not at all nice...


How much more time or common-sense is required for understanding in men?

"We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children."

The clock is ticking and the hour is late as we helplessly watch our Earth sink,

As our environment steadily heads to disaster's brink, it's time to act & think!


Think of the future when our kids cannot experience what we are privileged to & can.

Flora and fauna may be extinct, and from pics/videos, kids may get the gyaan.

Time to press the alarm button; better still, learn and advocate CTRL + SAVE.

A healthy Earth with all its treasures intact is what we strive for as we crave...


We just have one planet- Mother Earth who's dear as she supports & nurtures.

Instead of being her staunch supporters, why have humans gifted her curse?

"The Earth has enough for everyone's needs, but not enough for anyone's greed."

Let's save our world! Sincere efforts and CTRL + SAVE is the need.

The Little Santa

Little Mili excitedly came from school.

“Mom guess what? Remember the Story-writing competition I had taken part? I won the first prize- Rs 500!” 

“That’s wonderful, dear! How do you plan to spend it?” her Mom asked.

“Tomorrow is Children’s Day. I wish to buy some Parle G biscuit-packets, Note-Copies, Nataraj Pencils & Erasers and distribute amongst the slum children,” said Mili.

Her Mom had tears in her eyes as she hugged Mili.

It was that Special Children's Day programme on Doordarshan that they had together watched a few days ago that had highlighted to the young impressionable mind of Mili how needy some kids are… Many don’t have access to even basic facilities and requirements like Roti, Kapda, Makaan (Food, Clothes, House) leave alone school or education. That day Mili had asked her Mom how they can help the children.

However, I found that it wasn't customized as per my Blog & my credentials.

The other day I got a great suggestion from Richa-

"get a nice share button on your blog posts which has your Twitter handle embedded easier to share around then."

She posted her comment after reading my Post- I Can Go Far For My Love!
