How many of us have said the above line or believe it? Do we focus on "I, Me, Myself"?

Serve, Service

We are taught to think of others and serve.

Thinking of self is being selfish, isn't it?

But, trying to make life easy for others is a never-ending job as human wants and expectations are unlimited. One can never satiate all the desires of others.

Rather than looking for validation from others, one can and must say some encouraging words to self. 

Why will others want to have a relationship with us, when we are not comfortable with our own self?

Some people cannot even spend a few minutes alone. What demons disturb them? 

Living with and loving own self is a continuing love-story with no rivals as it is rare to get someone who loves us more than we do!

Soul and Super Shakti

There is a lot within us. There's heaven and hell... The power or "shakti" within us is great.

As per the Bhagavad Gita, we are not the body; rather the soul or the spirit within. This is energy spanning several lifetimes. The supreme Godhead has the super shakti. 

The focus must be to recognize this and change things inside of us, if and when we feel something is amiss, so that the outside gets changed too. 

Service Before Self and Sacrifice

We are taught expected to uphold- "Service before self".

That is the motto of the Indian Army as well. They sacrifice themselves for us, our country and our countrymen without thinking of their personal lives.

"Mother and motherland are greater than heaven." 

Mothers are great examples too. They think of their children and family totally sacrificing self love and time.

Just focus on self or take care and act for the larger good? Love has to start from someone or somewhere. Why not pat our own back and transfer or shower the love and energy like a chain? 

When there's sacrifice or sharing of self and self love, there is divinity as the higher power is automatically invoked. God is watching. Let us improve our quota and score.

If each of us worked did this, our nation and world will be great.

Power of Worship & Prayer

I pray & believe in the power of worshipping God.

For me, worshipping God = praying.
I feel we can worship anywhere, though being in a Temple, Church, Mosque, Gurudwara etc. certainly helps.

Though I spend very less time in my Puja Room as such, as compared to that spent by the elders in my family, I focus on prayer in that time.
I also believe- 'Work is Worship.'

My Mom used to say, "Give 100% attention to God in the time you pray...What is the point if while praying you are thinking of other worldly things - like the phone-ringing or what you need to cook!"

Recently, there was much brouhaha about "cleavage" in the social media. A top-actress, Deepika Padukone, was targeted just before the release of her movie, 'Finding Fanny'. Last year, actress Sonam Kapoor was under similar focus with the release of her movie, 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'.

Actresses have always been the cynosure of attention, sometimes unfair & ugly.

Mango people (Aam Aadmi) or ordinary citizens like you and me don't have it much better...

We judge others and get judged too. We get judged even if we don't judge :)

I joined IndiBlogger and other Blogging sites like BlogAdda 11 months ago in July 2013.

Then:
My Blog had less than 10 Posts, less than 10 Followers, less than 10 Comments & less than 1000 Page-Views.

Now:
Just yesterday it has clocked 1,00,000 Page-Views!

Granny's Story

Both my Granny & Grandma are responsible for shaping the story-teller in me as they told me many real-life stories about people they had personally interacted with.

One story of my Granny was about a woman who loved to eat 'Pakoras' (fried snacks) a lot and every evening, she would buy lots of Pakoras from the neighborhood shop.

The Doctor had pronounced me dead and God’s angels took me away from my home to Heaven where I found three important ladies- my Mother, my Granny & my Grandma, who were happy & sad to see me there.

After the happy hugs, they were upset as on the giant screen we could see the live telecast of what was happening in my home on Planet Earth right then- that my Papa, siblings, hubby, kid and other near and dear were inconsolable…

When God came to see me, my Mom started questioning Him- “Why did you invite my kid here so soon and do you have any idea- how will my grandchild, son-in-law, husband & kids live without her?”

Even I questioned God, “How will Planet Earth have any niceness & goodness left if you take away all the nice & good people, like my Mom & my grandmothers… and now me?!”

God was still thinking of a suitable answer when the three angelic ladies demanded Him to gift me another life on Planet Earth as my life was essential for so many lives…

They were God’s favorite angels and God agreed to their request!

Just before I departed Heaven, my Granny, who had left us a month ago, let me into the secret of her key, “Convey to your Uncles that my Locker’s key is in the secret compartment of the Silver Filigree Konark Temple in my Showcase.”
