Flibbertigibbet

They had warned me to stay away,

Still, I told her all that I had to say.

Whatever happened next was wild news-

People soon knew me & my radical views!

Why did I trust her despite the red flags?

Gonna keep learning lessons; won't relax!

  2. An old word but timely. Seems that nowadays, with the web, there are more folks than ever who could be described as flibbertigibbets. :)

  3. I might be the flibbertigibbet, most times it is a lady. But I am old, 91, and won't be talking too much so-so longer. I would tell my students, "proofread proof, proof, proof" before in turning in papers, check the spelling. Could also change a few words. I haven't checked but I might some day, check to see who has me the most, google or Bing. You might also, it's interesting but I didn't count that time.

  4. I must truly be old; I hadn't known of the gossipy interpretation of the word. So you have taught me something! Also, I like this wry, somewhat satirical interpretation of the prompt.
