They made her the target of their bloody malicious game.
They bullied- unfair allegations, personal-attacks, insulted her name...
The ignorant mean haters had no idea of her talent, creativity or power.
She survived & thrived even in muck; just like the Lotus flower!
She continued to blossom & earned more support, knowledge & fame!

It is such a beautiful exotic flower !
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flower - are you the lotus flower?
ReplyDeleteThe similarity brought out between the girl and the lotus flower is apt.
ReplyDeleteThe virtuous are not tainted by the surrounding circumstances but bloom to their full potential
Luckily she had the strength in her own abilities and could achieve her dreams regardless of the malicious taunts. I love the comparison with a lotus whose beauty is achieved by consuming the muck beneath it.
ReplyDeleteAn inspiring poem, Anita! Probably, this is the story of every successful person... They say, it is the struggles that make the success sweeter :) What else can be a better example for success stories than Lotus?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully penned, Anita. An apt analogy.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful poem. My mind has been on #1000Speak which is going to have a link on March 20 to Building from Bullying. This peom tells a brief, but inspirational story.
ReplyDeleteI loved this poem too. Really encouraging. I want to be like th Lotus flower too.
ReplyDeleteIt takes great inner strength and courage to overcome rumors that see to destroy one's credibility and good name. It sounds as though she knew her own value and refused to be dragged down to the level of her detractors! I really liked this post!
ReplyDeleteThat's great words of encouragement
ReplyDeleteTina from The Sunny Side of Life
That's a wonderful analogy! Thanks for participating!
ReplyDeleteGreat thought & philosophy, Anita. Leading the life of a lotus is the essence of enlightenment. Two quick points: Beauty out of mud and water falls on it but it don't get wet. :)
