The Lotus Girl

They made her the target of their bloody malicious game.
They bullied- unfair allegations, personal-attacks, insulted her name...

Note- My Mom always advised me to be like the Lotus. I have faced many instances of bullying.
I am trying to be like the Lotus. 
I had written this poem for the above prompts. Then, Val informed me about this month's #1000Speak theme. Have added two images and changed the second line to link with #1000Speak.

  4. Luckily she had the strength in her own abilities and could achieve her dreams regardless of the malicious taunts. I love the comparison with a lotus whose beauty is achieved by consuming the muck beneath it.

  9. It takes great inner strength and courage to overcome rumors that see to destroy one's credibility and good name. It sounds as though she knew her own value and refused to be dragged down to the level of her detractors! I really liked this post!

  11. Great thought & philosophy, Anita. Leading the life of a lotus is the essence of enlightenment. Two quick points: Beauty out of mud and water falls on it but it don't get wet. :)

  17. I was also bullied at one of the schools I studied in. But like the flower in your poem, I learned to not let it bother me and I grew out of all that unpleasantness.
