For the world he was yet another Dentist.
A smiling Dentist, who was self-made and had his own clinic.
But, he didn't consider himself to be just another Dentist. There are lots of Dentists around the world.
He was special...
He was a Smile-Doctor - the angel who spread real smiles...
He was like Santa Claus. But, unlike Santa, he distributed gifts to the underprivileged & helped in whichever way he could everyday...

ReplyDeleteInsincere smiles are scary, Bjorn. Hope we have true people whose smiles are genuine :)

I like your story. There are many who donate their services to the needy. Selfless and good people. You help bring that act to life and remind us to do good work.
ReplyDeleteIs that you on the left of the magazine cover?
Thank you so much for visiting my Blog! Welcome :)
DeleteDelighted that you liked my story. Selflessness is a virtue practiced by a few...
Bingo! Full marks for the right guess! That's me :)
I'm impressed!
Delete*Takes a bow!* :)
DeleteMy dentist and his wife visit Haiti every year, sometimes twice in a year, to do free dental work for the people. I love that about my dentist. Hugs for bringing these angels of mercy to the attention of your readers...
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting & commenting! Welcome to my space :)
DeleteHugs to you too :) And, of course to your dentist and all the angels of mercy!
Dear Anita,
ReplyDeleteYour dentist sounds like one in a million. Nicely done.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Wish there are many in a million like him, Rochelle...
DeleteThanks for the appreciation :)
Lovely story, Anita. It's nice to read a story about a good dentist; so many of them do this amazing charity, and yet are rarely recognized for their good deeds. I think you could leave out the parentheses in the final line, and it would still work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dawn for stopping by & commenting! Welcome to my Blog.
DeleteI agree with you that there are many good souls, who never get recognition. For them doing good is its own reward. They get happiness out of it. May the tribe of such people increase :)
You know what? Even I had planned to remove the parenthesis, but then forgot to edit it. Doing it right now :) Thanks!
