The PAUSitive Sketch

She was busy at work.

He had finally agreed to her.

They had decided on this arrangement for long…actually a decade ago, when they were in College & had watched the Titanic movie together.

That they would enact that scene…

Today was that day…

He was sitting as the model.

She was busy sketching him.

He: “Is it done? How much more time?”

She: “Yes, almost! All good things need time & patience! Wait!”

The Most PAUSitive Person-II

This Post is more about my Papa- the most POSITIVE Person I know. I discussed how he likes and upholds the clean-shaven look in my Post- The Most PAUSitive Person-I

Ever since I was small, I have always seen Papa and all my uncles clean-shaven.

As both my Paternal & Maternal sides of my family are pretty large, there are many members. All males are clean-shaven!

The only time when I have seen the male-family-members with stubble is when there is a death in the family.

As per our custom, we do not have to cut anything- no hair, nails etc during the mourning period of 10 days.

Ever since I know, I always hate a death… 

PAUSitive Choice!

Once upon a time when there were Kings & Queens, there was a Princess named Roopwati. She was very beautiful. 

When it was time for Roopwati to get married, her parents fixed up a Swayamvar* for her. 

Many eligible young Princes had gathered.

Roopwati was secretly observing them from her hiding-place.

Prince Om caught her eye at first sight.

His clean shaven look bowled her over!

Roopwati had set a screening challenge for them. Whoever cleared the initial ‘test’ would proceed to the next round that was the actual Swayamvar.

Her father, the King, was apprehensive if anyone could clear the tough test set by his daughter.

Roopwati found herself praying that may Prince Om qualify! 

PASS The Proposal!

Tara and Sooraj were doing their Post-Graduate-Course. 

Tara was a nice & simple girl. All the guys wished to date Tara! 

She had not accepted even a coffee-date, leave alone Party/Disco! 

Sooraj was the intellectual guy of the class, who had all the answers. 
But, no girl was willing to even talk to Sooraj, leave alone ask him out for a date...

Sooraj had a stubble...

Tara’s friends often discussed about the guys of their Class. “I hate that unclean stubble”. “Sooraj looks as if he hasn’t taken a bath*!” was the common consensus.

On the last day, Sooraj approached Tara, “Hey, Tara! Please watch the latest Hindi-movie- Ishaqzaade with me today evening! I have won couple tickets. Don't say NO!"

Tara agreed! 
“I actually said ‘Yes’ for my first date that too with Sooraj whom my friends love to hate!”

PASS the Attention!

When Bhai* came from USA, Mom said, “I hate that unclean stubble & so will my honewaali-bahu*, Aditya…” 
Though I sided with Bhai sometimes, this time I supported Mom.

“Aditi, You’re younger than me!”  
Bhai always played this “you-are-young-card” though I am just 3 years younger!

Bhai is one of the most eligible bachelors in the world! 

Last year, my best-friend Diya confessed to me that she loved him! 
“But, I hate that unclean stubble” Diya had said. 

When Bhai went to the Mall to meet his best-friend (who also has a Stubble!), I followed him in a disguised-look. I occupied a table close to the duo in that Cafeteria. My heart missed a beat when I caught him looking at me…

Just then, a smart lady-Police-Officer arrived with a Police-Man. 
Heading straight to my Bhai’s table, she said, “You are under arrest!” 

PASS with Jai Siya-Ram!

Siya was at her parent’s home during her pregnancy. 

Her husband, Ram, a software engineer deputed abroad, had flown down for the delivery.
They were delighted to be blessed with Twins- two cherubic baby girls- Luvi & Kushi! 

Ram left and had returned to India a week ago.

Siya went to her husband's home with the now 5-months old Twins. Siya arrived with Luvi in her arms while her mother was holding Kushi. 

Ram was eagerly waiting to hold his little ones.
But, it was perplexing for the new dad as the moment he went near the Twins, they started wailing! 

The Perfect Guy to make a PASS!

Today was a special day.

It reminded her of her first love, Rahul. 

Sparks had flown when they met at University. 
It was love at first sight!

His clean-shaven look bowled her over...

Rahul left for New York to do his Film-Making Course.
Anuja got busy with MBA.
