She felt
elated to walk into a movie hall after ages. A huge movies fan, she had to
watch the latest release.
The last
two years had kept her very busy in completing her autobiography.
A book publishing-house
had accepted it.
She was
excited that she'd soon get to see it in print.
She hoped that her story
would be accepted by a movie production-house as well.

The box office hit with actress Maya began to play.
It was her
story...
What do you think she should do next? Isn't it strange when you go to watch a box office hit, and you discover that you are the one who has been 'hit'?
100 Words story for Friday Fictioneers
I'm sure a lot of writers dream of this. Not sure I would like my life story turned into entertaInment personally.
ReplyDeleteStories are like clouds. They drift around in the atmosphere for a while and then fall on several people at once
ReplyDeleteI think she should cash in while her story is a box office hit, enjoy her 15 minutes of fame! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds a bit like wishful thinking to me!
ReplyDeleteAn audience with Rosey!
I hope she gets good money out of their copyright infringement. But what fun to see your book turn into a movie.
ReplyDeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteIt would be quite a shock to see my story on the screen without my knowing or giving permission. Although she seems quite pleased, I'm not sure I would be.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I hope she was smart enough to get her work a copyright. If not, it's going to be her word against a monolithic industry. Live and learn.
ReplyDeleteI think we all dream of this. If only...
ReplyDeleteWithout her knowing means someone went behind her back and is collecting on her story. Not good.
ReplyDeleteImagination has no limits!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dale, someone is benefiting from her story. She should investigate.
ReplyDeleteCan she file a case of copyright infringement?
ReplyDeleteHmmm, first I'd be angry. Second, I'd get even!

I might feel flattered. I might sue. Depends on how the story was spun. Either way I would feel violated.
ReplyDeleteI've heard of similar, with books. What a sickening feeling.
ReplyDeleteVery imaginative!
ReplyDeleteGood story. It would be surreal, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a shock!
